The Weimar Track team traveled to Ganado to participate in the District track meet on Thursday, April 4, and here are the results.

The Weimar Wildcats traveled to Schulenburg on Tuesday, April 2, to start their week off and ended up losing the game 6-5 with Schulenburg walking the game off in the bottom of the eighth. Then on Friday, April 5, they welcomed in Ganado where they struggled on both sides of the ball leading to a 19-4 loss.

COLUMBUS – The Habitat for Humanity organization helped bring residents to the entities and organizations that serve them every day by hosting the Community Connections event on the Courthouse Square on Saturday, April 7.

The Columbus Lady Cardinals improved their district record to 8-2 last week winning two district games and strengthening their grip on the 2nd place spot in the standings.

On Saturday, March 30, RJ Myers competed in the 96th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, TX. Myers tested his abilities against some of the best throwers in the nation, finishing 12th overall, throwing 53’3/4 ft on his final attempt to set a personal record. Myers is a junior at Rice High School and is the son of Roderick Myers and Bernice Vasquez.

The Rice Raiders hosted the District Track Meet at their school and made sure to show off for the home crowd.

The Rice Lady Raiders played in two district games last week and lost both but continued to lay the foundation for the program’s future.

The Weimar Ladycats dominated their game against Schulenburg, and they had a playoff like game against Ganado to end the week.
