Columbus Food Pantry expresses thanks for community effort

On Jan. 10, the Columbus Walmart notified the Columbus Food Pantry of a donation of 126 cases of frozen Cornish Game Hens. That equals 3,024 hens. The Food Pantry has a good deal of freezer space, but it is not able to handle 3,024 hens. Coordination efforts got underway immediately. Several volunteers, churches, and businesses came to the rescue of the hens. The hens are currently all over the City of Columbus, and safely waiting to be handed to families in need of The Columbus Food Pantry services. It was an impressive effort.
