SCHULENBURG — The Stanzel Family Foundation is proud to announce its recent grant allocations to two impactful organizations, the Turtle Wing Foundation and And Then a New Day. These grants exemplify the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to fostering community well-being and supporting organizations that address critical needs.

The Turtle Wing Foundation, an advocate for children and individuals with disabilities and their families in the Schulenburg and Weimar areas, will receive funding to enhance its services. The grant will specifically assist in implementing community education and advocacy, early intervention, and supplemental programming. Turtle Wing Foundation serves as a vital resource hub, connecting families with essential services and support necessary for success. The organization’s efforts extend beyond mere connectivity, actively working to attract new providers to rural areas and aiding families in affording crucial services.

“Ensuring that children & individuals with disabilities and their families have access to necessary services is at the heart of Turtle Wing Foundation’s mission,” Turtle Wing Executive Director Destiny Siptak said, “The Stanzel Family Foundation’s generous support will enable us to expand our reach and make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.”

The mission of And Then A New Day is to provide meaningful work, social, and life opportunities for young adults on the autism spectrum and those that have learning challenges. And Then has successfully supported young adults with learning challenges offering them real-life experience in the workplace at places like Jack & Mary’s, and through their many other initiatives.

The synergy between Turtle Wing Foundation and And Then is evident, with both organizations originating from a shared recognition of the lack of services for their respective populations.

The Stanzel Family Foundation remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that enhance community well-being, and these grants represent a significant step towards building a more inclusive and supportive environment for the local rural area and all those who live here.
