Johnny Lee Norsworthy, aged 72, passed away on Wednesday, March 6 in Columbus, Texas. He was a beloved father, brother and friend. Johnny was born on Feb. 9, 1952 in Columbus, Texas. He loved old cars and working with his hands. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Campaign displays mutual respect in county law enforcement

COLUMBUS – The Commissioners Court are looking to slow down drivers around the county on country and gravel roads according to their comments at the March 11 Commissioners Court regular meeting.

COLUMBUS – The City Council heard concerns for safety regarding a request for an extra street closure than usual for the Magnolia Days Festival in May. Despite sharing those concerns with the presenters, the Council moved to deny the request along with other actions at the March 11 regular meeting.

The following are reported road closures in Colorado County: Frontage Road, Eastboound from Willow Creek to Crooked Road has full closure from March 6 and May 14.
