Columbus Police Report

AUGUST 30, 2024

At 12:34 am Ofc. Salinas responded to the 2200 block of Hwy 71 in reference to a welfare concern. After further investigation, Brent Coffey of San Antonio was arrested for Public Intoxication and was taken to the Colorado County Detention Center.

At 7:49 am Cpl. Blair responded to the 400 block of North St in reference to an animal complaint. The animal was located and taken to the city pound.

At 10:40 am Cpl. Blair responded to the 200 block of Veteran Dr in reference to an escort.

At 7:50 pm Ofc. Salinas responded to the 100 block of Creek Bend Ln in reference to an alarm. The building was found secure.

AUGUST 31, 2024

At 4:45 am Det. Mayfield responded to the 1700 block of Hwy 71 in reference to a welfare concern. The subject was located and all was found to be in order.

At 9:50 am Cpl. Wilson responded to the 600 block of Spring St in reference to possible theft. Information was received.

SEPTEMBER 1, 2024

At 12:35 am Ofc. Sanchez along with Sgt. Lara responded to the 1400 block of Montezuma St in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was not located.

At 4:58 am Cpl. Neumann responded to the 2100 block of Hwy 71 in reference to an alarm. The building was found secure.

At 5:19 am Cpl. Neumann responded to the 1000 block of Walnut in reference to possible assault. After further investigation, all was found to be in order.

At 7:15 pm Sgt. Lara responded to the 1700 block of Milam in reference to a vehicle accident. A crash report was completed.

SEPTEMBER 3, 2024

At 4:28 am Cpl. Neumann responded to the 1000 block of Walnut in reference to a possible disturbance. After further investigation, all was found to be in order.

At 7:25 am Cpl. Wilson responded to the 2100 block of Milam in reference to an alarm. The building was found secure.

At 3:30 pm Cpl. Wilson responded to the 2100 block of Milam in reference to a suspicious person. The subject was located and removed from the property.

At 4:00 pm Det. Mayfield responded to the 2200 block of Hwy 71 in reference to a civil matter. Advice was given.

SEPTEMBER 4, 2024

At 11:21 am Cpl. Blair responded to the 2100 block of Hwy 71 in reference to an unwanted person. The subject was located and removed from the property.

At 1:15 pm Cpl. Blair responded to the 100 block of Legion Dr in reference to an unwanted person. The subject was located, issued a criminal trespass warning and removed from the property.

At 3:30 pm Lt. Daniel responded to the 100 block of King Dr in reference to a welfare concern. The subject was located and all was found to be in order.

At 7:33 pm Lt. Daniel responded to the 200 block of Smith St in reference to an animal complaint. The animal was not located.

SEPTEMBER 5, 2024

At 8:35 am Cpl. Blair responded to the 2000 block of Milam in reference to an escort.

At 10:40 am Cpl. Blair responded to the 1500 block of Montezuma St in reference to an escort.

SEPTEMBER 6, 2024

At 8:35 am Cpl. Blair responded to the 1200 block of Walnut in reference to a vehicle complaint. The vehicle was located and removed from the property.

At 1:20 pm Cpt. Alley responded to the 800 block of Live Oak in reference to possible threats. Information was received.

SEPTEMBER 7, 2024

At 7:25 am Cpl. Wilson responded to the 400 block of Veterans Dr in reference to a civil matter. Advice was given.

At 2:18 pm Sgt. Lara responded to the 100 block of Railroad Ave in reference to an animal complaint. The animal was not located.

At 3:23 pm Sgt. Lara responded to the 4300 block of I-10 in reference to a 911 hang-up. Officers arrived and learned it was accidental.

At 5:46 pm Ofc. Salinas responded to the 2100 block of Milam in reference to an unwanted person. The subject was gone upon arrival.

At 9:48 pm Ofc. Salinas responded to the 900 block of Robson St in reference to loud music. The music was located and turned down.

SEPTEMBER 8, 2024

At 3:46 pm Ofc. Salinas responded to the 2200 block of Hwy 71 in reference to possible theft. After further investigation, a subject was located, identified, and given a written citation for theft.

At 6:37 pm Ofc. Salinas responded to the 1400 block of Walnut in reference to an unwanted person. After further investigation, James Washington of Columbus was arrested for Indecent Exposure and taken to the Colorado County Detention Center
