74 years and counting
74 years and counting

Merrill and Elaine Luman first married August 8, 1950 at the exciting age of 21. 74 years letter and these two love birds are as strong as ever. Merrill and Elaine Luman had two sons, Preston and Sean Luman as well as three grandkids. First living in the Houston area, Merrill moved to Columbus to start a community choir, while Elaine focused on researching and helping others place historical markers on their homes. When not helping others place historical markers on their homes, Elaine made a long career helping her community in another way by being a high school counselor. Merrill Luman worked in the Southern Baptist church as well. Please join us as we not only celebrate two individuals for an outstanding accomplishment but we also recognize the overall commitment, love, faith and sacrifice that it took to sub-stain something so beautiful for so long. From everyone here at the Colorado County Citizen, Congratulations on 74 years Elaine and Merrill Luman.
