Texas DFPS gives tips for Child Abuse Prevention Month

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services statistics show in Texas in 2023, there were 58,210 confirmed cases of child abuse, 173 children died due to abuse or neglect and 30,739 children were in the care of the Texas DFPS.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and you can help to empower your community with resources to support Texas children, youth, and families where they live, work, and play.

The goal for this month is to reach as many individuals as possible to equip families with knowledge and resources to support child abuse prevention practices in Texas.
