This upcoming week starts off with Earth Day on Monday, April 22.
The library has many choices of books to choose from on gardening, how to reuse and recycle and how to keep Mother Earth clean.
Tuesday, April 23 is World Book Day, a day to appreciate the availability of books and the ability to get books from all over the world. Break up a busy day by picking up a book to recognize this international holiday Then, on Wednesday, April 24, the Library in Motion group will be having a Body and Motion Walking class working at any level with standing or sitting sessions at 10 a.m.
On Thursday, April 25, the library has Family Storytime reading books on poetry and rhyming words at 10 a.m. followed by Preschool Discovery Time having some rhyming activities and games at 10:30am. In the evening, the Friends of the Library will be hosting Poetry Open Mic Night in the City Gazebo at 6:30pm. Bring poems, lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy an evening of pure literature.
On Friday, April 26, the Beginner Crochet class will meet with the adult group from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and youth group from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Reminder to mark the calendar for the Friends of the Library Book Sale at the Weimar Public Library on Saturday, May 4 between 8 a.m. to noon.
