As many in the nation already know, Veterans Day will be acknowledged and celebrated this Saturday, Nov. 11 to recognize those living and deceased who have put their life and limb on the line to protect the certain freedoms residents benefit from in the country.

The Colorado County Hazard Mitigation Plan is in the required review process that occurs every five years as the policies in place are reviewed and determined if they provide the most appropriate preventative measures for potential hazards or disasters.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Foresters and staff members from Texas A&M Forest Service celebrated Texas Arbor Day on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, with school presentations, tree plantings and tree giveaways across the state.

EAGLE LAKE – A $25,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority will help the City of Eagle Lake make much-needed repairs to the swimming pool at Eagle Lake Municipal Park.

COLUMBUS – The Habitat for Humanity organization held their second Pumpkin Patch fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as people from all over the county came to contribute and enjoy the fall festivities.
