In addition to our staff and student families, we are grateful for our substitute teachers, and our PTC officers and members, who volunteer all year to ensure events and fundraisers go as planned. We appreciate our school Advisory Council and Fr. James Dvorak for their ongoing guidance. EAGLE LAKE – The Community Center played host to the start of a new tradition as several city officials and workers gathered for the city’s State of the City Address on Nov. 9. Led by Mayor Tim Kelley and featuring a dinner provided by Austin’s Barbeque and Catering, those in attendance reminisced on some of the positive initiatives throughout the past year as they plan to make the address an annual occurrence.

City, CCIDC commit $100K to ‘Save Our Opera House’

The City of Columbus and Columbus Community Industrial Development Corporation (CCIDC) met the matching pledge challenge of an anonymous donor and approved $100,000 in funds for the “Save Our Opera House” capital campaign. Those funds along with the matching $100,000 added $200,000 to the growing campaign monies which are now at $401,569.
