Chamber of Commerce selects new junior ambassador

Columbus –The Chamber is excited to announce they have chosen Alejandra Diaz, CHS Class of 2026, as the new Junior Ambassador for 2024-2026.

She is joining the 20232025 Junior Ambassador Brooklyn Eden. In their roles, these two students will become involved in many of the Chamber’s city-wide events and will serve with the Chamber as the face of Columbus.

Junior Ambassadors have the opportunity to become involved in citywide events and represent the community. In addition, they help support and promote business for the advancement of the entire community. After meeting specific requirements, Junior Ambassadors will be awarded a $3,000 scholarship for their higher education.

“I would bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to the community events, Diaz said in her qualifying essay, “With an interest in marketing, as a Junior Ambassador, I could creatively showcase Columbus’s businesses to appeal to both new and old generations. With effective communication and collaboration with local media platforms like Facebook and Instagram to market the Chambers activities.”

“Moreover, this marketing strategy is not just about promoting a community,” Diaz continued, “it’s about showcasing Columbus as an ideal destination for those seeking a charming place to live, work, and have fun.”

The daughter of Veronica Zamora, Alejandra showcases her brilliant mind by participating in extracurriculars including One-Act Play, Cardinals in Action, Band, and many more.

“We wish the outgoing 2022-2024 ambassadors, Talyr Tipton, Clay Kohleffel, Alley Fitzerald, and Julie Ana Gobert the best of luck on their new beginnings,” Chamber Office Manager Shelley Janik said, “We look forward to working with Alejandra and Brooklyn as they become involved in city-wide events while representing their community and the Columbus Chamber.”
