BELLVILLE – A company dedicated to innovating and raising awareness for regenerative agriculture practices will be giving a presentation hosted by The Story Peddler bookstore at 538 W. Main St. on May 8.
The free event will begin at 5 p.m. and conclude at 6:30 p.m.
Deeply Rooted Ranch is a farm company that owns 120 acres of regenerative farmland in Burton that serves as a crop and livestock producer and an educational resource for farmers, ranchers and organic gardeners.
Founder and Co-CEO Amy Milliron will lead the presentation along with Event Coordinator Carrie Deering on their process and the benefits to crops and the environment.
Regenerative agriculture is a method of farming that focuses on the health of the soil and ecological system as opposed to traditionally focusing on high crop yields. The goal is to increase the long-term viability of the soil while also being mindful of the effect on the surrounding environment.
DRR prides itself in providing produce and livestock that the community be confident in knowing where it comes from and that it is nutrient-rich and organic.
The presentation will feature a slideshow, a game of bingo and a book sampling for the several that will be on sale during the event.
