Mums, garters and lots of orange are all over campus as the Saints football team takes on St. Michael of Weimar on Cardinal field at 6 p.m. Students at the Oct. 18 Homecoming pep rally will see either Tracy Theut, Shanna Collins or Fr. James Dvorak get “pied”, depending on whose jar collects the most money.

Sharon Ruth Grahmann passed away peacefully on Oct. 8, 2023. She was born Aug. 5, 1944 to Ruth and Lawrence Grubert in Yoakum, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Cecilia Grahmann. Sharon is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred Grahmann, her children Tina Stavinoha (Leroy), Michael Grahmann (Sonia), Joshua Grahmann (Ashley) and Shari Grahmann, her grandchildren Jordan Grahmann, Alicia Mattke, Camille Grahmann, Amelia Stavinoha, Emma Grahmann, Robert Stavinoha, Faith Grahmann, Maren Grahmann, her brother Larry Grubert (Doris) and her sister Debbie Lucke (Kenny).

COLUMBUS – The fight to restore and maintain the R.E. Stafford Opera House has gained momentum as donors have contributed a significant amount of funding to assist the cause. The Columbus Historic Preservation Trust held their second town hall meeting on Oct. 2 in the Buddy Rau room of the opera house and finished the night receiving $9,400 in donations.
