The Weimar Wildcats have hit a little bit of a rough patch dropping back-to-back games this past week.

On Tuesday the Wildcats took on Burton and then traveled to Flatonia on Friday for their second of their two games.

@ Burton, L, 44-43 The Wildcats were handed a real heartbreaking loss by one point by the hands of Burton.

The Wildcats traveled to Burton to play their next season game and these teams were ready to go to battle. It was a very defensive game and every point scored mattered a lot as the time ticked down.

With the score tight entering the second half the Wildcats started to get a little more aggressive on offense and it paid off but also cost them. The Wildcats were able to put pressure on Burton by going up on the scoreboard, but Burton was able to work back because of a few Wildcat mistakes.

Burton took the lead late thanks to a couple of free throws made and the Wildcats were unable to reclaim the lead before the game ended.

They then set their sights on their game against Flatonia looking to get back on track with a win.

@ Flatonia, L, 57-45 The Wildcats continued to struggle against Flatonia in their second game of the week. Flatonia took the game right to the Wildcats and made sure they were uncomfortable whenever they had the ball.

The Wildcats offense was able to give a late push but again ran out of time and were handed their second loss of the week. The Wildcats have one more game before they can go and enjoy the holiday and they would like to leave on a high note.

The Wildcats now look ahead to their game against Shiner on Tuesday, Dec. 19, on their home court ready to pick up a big district win before the Christmas Holiday.
