A Housing and Transportation Needs Assessment for Colorado County has been launched by Texas A&M University School of Public Health in partnership with The Wellness Council of Greater Colorado Valley, a group of around 200 local citizens actively committed to improving the overall health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities within Colorado County.

COLUMBUS – The April 8 regular meeting for the Colorado County Commissioners Court saw the entity change more speed limits on county roads and recognize several proclamations to celebrate national initiatives.

Colorado County will hold two separate elections in May. Both elections are equally important for different reasons. It is also imperative that voters pay attention to voting locations and times because each election is different.

COLUMBUS – The Save Our Opera House campaign has been making steady progress towards returning the Stafford Opera House to operation; a fact that was revealed at their recent event held in the Buddy Rau room on Thursday, April 4.

On Saturday, March 23rd, And Then hosted an open house event that brought together community members, supporters, and local businesses for a day of celebration and connection. The event, held at the newly renovated And Then facility on Lyons Ave., showcased the organization’s dedication to empowering young adults with learning challenges and providing them with meaningful opportunities.
