The Deputy Santa Program will be a collaboration this year between the Sheriff’s Office and the Family & Youth Services. Applications for Deputy Santa can be picked up at the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office or at FAYS at 514 Washington St. All applications must be submitted at either location by 5 p.m. on Dec. 1. Applicants must be residents of Colorado County. Those wishing to donate gifts can also leave their donations at the listed locations as well as the Farm Bureau. Boy scouts to run fundraiser sponsored by Columbus Noon Lions
COLUMBUS – The Columbus Boy Scout Troop 312 is hosting a hamburger fundraiser on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the proceeds returning to the scout program in the town. The Columbus Noon Lions Club is providing their signature grilled burgers along with a bag of chips as the dinner offered in the drive through fundraiser.
