The Weimar VFW Auxiliary to Post 5875 met for its regular meeting on Nov. 14 with eight present members. The meeting opened according to the Ritual by President Charlene Muras.
President Charlene Muras followed with reports, emails on membership, the Wreaths Across America program and the next District 24 meeting on Dec. 2.
The VFW Auxiliary has a total of 36 members with 21 life members and 15 regular members.
Jeanette Koenig reported that the Veteran’s Programs last week were very nice with 380 thank you cards sent to hospitalized veterans. Members were advised to plan on addressing Christmas cards to Veterans to bring to the next meeting.
Monica Stock reported she sent three birthday cards to veterans.
Marty Heinrich announced the winners of the PP/VOD contests.
Kathy Hudec reported the attendance at the Men’s Coffee at Parkview on Oct. 20 with eight residents, 12 veterans and four Auxiliary members.
For the Good of the Order, Jeanette Koenig reminded members to fly the US flag on Thanksgiving Day Nov. 23 and on Pearl Harbor Day Dec. 7. Charlene Muras read a thank you to Veterans poem.
The next meeting will be on Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Weimar VFW Hall kitchen following a Christmas meal at 5:30 p.m.
