Columbus Food Pantry sees growth, change
COLUMBUS – Plenty of changes and improvements defined a big year for the Columbus Food Pantry during 2023. Each important factor of their operations experienced several tweaks as they try to reach as many families as possible with their service. Throughout the year, they stayed committed to their goal of supplementing the needs of their clients to help them become independent at some point.

Columbus Historical Preservation Trust to hold Belle Orientation
COLUMBUS – The Magnolia Belles have been a tradition in Columbus for generations as the high school–aged girls in town are taught and display the class often associated with the Belles. The Columbus Historical Preservation Trust will be holding the Magnolia Belle Orientation Session on Saturday, Feb. 3 to introduce any high school female student to this important community tradition.

Columbus to host Walk for Life rally Jan. 27
The Texas Right to Life organization is hosting a Walk for Life rally in support of anti-abortion efforts as well as protesting human trafficking and euthanasia in the nation. The Columbus-hosted event is planned for Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. starting at the Industry State Bank at 2015 Milam St.
