Senior Connections hosts New Year’s Eve Heritage Ball

SCHULENBURG — Senior Connections hosted a year end celebration and fundraiser to contribute to their operations and support the seniors that benefit from their programs on Dec. 31. The organization sponsored an auction of donated items as well as a dinner and a dance for those in attendance.

Several of the auction items consisted of homemade desserts or food items contributed by local restaurants.

Donors were able to purchase a table for their organizations and families that also contributed to the funds contributed to the Senior Connections mission.

The music was provided by the Mark Odem band as the Freyburg Hall held plenty of space for a dance floor that many attendees used.

Along with the donations and the auction, there was also a photo booth provided by Gary and Kathy Carpenter for donors and attendees to have their New Year’s Eve pictures taken.

The night concluded with fireworks at midnight to mark the start of the new year.
