EAGLE LAKE — The Volunteer Fire Departments of Eagle Lake and Garwood teamed up to take on a structure fire on Stevenson Street.
The combined force successfully prevented the fire from spreading and causing extreme damage to other nearby buildings.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire, however, the damage to the building resulted in a total loss.
The Columbus VFD responded to a car fire near Emmel Lane that fully engulfed the vehicle. All passengers escaped the burning car safely as the department converged on the incident and successfully battled the fire.
