Julian Flores, III, 57, of East Bernard, passed away on Sept. 27, 2023, at his residence in East Bernard surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 10, 1966 in Eagle Lake, Texas.
Edward Bennet Faldyn, 87, of Columbus, passed away on October 3, 2023. He was born on April 13, 1936 in Plum, Texas to Josef and Mary (Marie) Zatopek Faldyn. The last child of eleven, he spent most of his life in the community of Holman.

COLLEGE STATION – USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) reminds drought impacted producers that they may be eligible for financial assistance through the Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees, and Farm-Raised Fish Program (ELAP), Livestock Forage Disaster Program (LFP) Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) and Emergency Haying and Grazing on Conservation Reserve Program to provide financial assistance to eligible producers for 2023 grazing losses due to a qualifying drought or fire and provide water for impacted livestock.
COLUMBUS – Noah’s Ark Coffee House restarted their live music event series ‘Friday Night Live’ on Oct. 6. Pastor Daniel Poré, founder of Noah’s Ark Coffee, has revived the event to showcase the musical talent of the youth in the area starting with his own daughter, Faith Poré.
