COLUMBUS – Noah’s Ark Coffee House restarted their live music event series ‘Friday Night Live’ on Oct. 6. Pastor Daniel Poré, founder of Noah’s Ark Coffee, has revived the event to showcase the musical talent of the youth in the area starting with his own daughter, Faith Poré.

The event began at 7 p.m. as Faith Poré took the stage and provided vocal performances while also playing the acoustic guitar.

The coffee shop is run in conjunction with the Zoe Christian Freedom Church to serve the community. The shop is donation-driven as there is no specified cost or menu for the coffee and tea served. Domestic and international coffee blends as well as herbal teas and freshly made pastries are items available to the patrons of Noah’s Ark.

According to Pastor Poré, the concept behind the shop is that even those in need can have a hot drink without the expectation of payment because of the generosity of community donations and volunteers.

‘Friday Night Live’ returns in November at a date that is yet to be determined. Steel drum artist Tanya Edwards from Schulenburg will be back to provide the sounds of the Caribbean with the island instrument.

There is no cost to attend the event as it is funded by donations.
