Weimar Friends of the Library hosts hunting safety classes

Friends of the Weimar Public Library will offer a second Hunter Safety Certification Class for those who were unable to attend the course in July. The course is scheduled in two evening sessions. The sessions will be offered on Oct. 16 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Oct. 17 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Weimar ISD cafeteria.

Attendees must register by accessing the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department website: https://tpwd. elementlms. com/course/ hunter- education- classroom- course-9342/ Hunters aged nine and older can obtain their hunter safety certification card after completing the official online or classroom course through a certified instructor.

The course will be limited to 35 participants and will require a fee of $15 per person payable at the door by cash or check made out to Lee Mueller. Sign in for the class will be at 4:15 p.m.

When registering, participants will be required to set up an account with a password. It is very important to save the password designated, as it will be needed in order to print your certificate at the completion of the class. Call or text 979732-7405 if you have any questions.
