St. John’s Episcopal Church offers pet blessing for St. Francis’ Day

COLUMBUS – The St. John’s Episcopal Church is inviting the public to get their pets blessed on church grounds at 915 Travis St. on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m.

Anyone is welcome to receive a blessing for their pets as the church hosts the blessing as part of their celebration for St. Francis’ Day.

In the Catholic church, St. Francis is patron saint of animals and the environment, making a blessing for the animals of Colorado County a fitting celebration for those who attend.
