Jack Dorwin Moore, 77, of Columbus, Texas, passed away on Oct. 4, 2023 in Katy, Texas.
He was born on March 6, 1946 to David and Yvonne Moore in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Jack graduated in 1979 from the University of Arkansas with a BS in Architecture. He left the Air Force in 1982 after serving for 14 years. He then worked for the Corps of Engineers until he retired.
Jack had a magnificent singing voice and enjoyed being part of the Columbus Community Choir. He was an excellent cook and loved preparing meals for others. He was a very generous person and enjoyed helping anyone in need. He loved his fur babies or any other stray that people would drop off at his house. He loved his friends and family and will be truly missed.
Jack is survived by his partner Xavier “Rocky” Caballero; daughter Jacqueline Clason and husband Tracy; sister Bonnie O’Mary and husband Donald; brother Donald Moore and wife Ann; grandchildren Katherine Clason, Blake Clason and wife Eleahana, Melissa Kay and husband James, and Ashley Clason; great-granddaughter Addeline Clason.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Moore.
Visitation was held on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas.
