Day to day at TCA
Day to day at TCA
My name is Chad Robertson. Currently I’m a Texas ChalleNGe Academy cadet, and I would like to share my perspective of TCA with the outside. TCA isn’t what people think. The kids here aren’t “bad” and certainly aren’t “criminals” as some have portrayed. 03/13/2024 12:00 AM

My walk through the challenge
My walk through the challenge
I am seventeen years old and originally from Puerto Rico, but I moved to Texas at a young age. I have two loving parents who always push me to do my best, an older sister who is going to graduate from nursing school, and a girlfriend who gives me nothing but support in all the things I do. I couldn’t be more proud. You may be wondering why I came here. 03/06/2024 12:00 AM

Federal judge appears skeptical of new border law
A federal judge is expected to rule quickly on the constitutionality of a Texas law about to go into effect that institutes new state penalties for illegal border crossings. During a hearing last week, U.S. District Judge David Ezra said he had concerns that other states would follow Texas’ lead in creating their own immigration laws – a power given exclusively to the federal government under the U.S. Constitution. 02/21/2024 12:00 AM

Camp Kikiwaka-NOT
Since coming to Texas ChalleNGe Academy on Jan. 14, 2024, I have learned a lot about myself and the program. With any adjustment, there have been many challenges, especially in this four-week acclimation period. 02/14/2024 12:00 AM
