We all have potential to be successful

Texas ChalleNGe Academy is the nationally funded school program in southern Texas that is run by the National Guard with school provided by Rice CISD. The program enables at-risk youth, like me, to start over and have a fresh start.

If you’re anything like me, sometimes all you need to get back on track is a change of setting. I am here to get dedicated and focused with my life, to get back on track with high school, and to be less lazy. I have the potential. We all do.

Even though I have only been here for five weeks, I love being here. I have never attended a residential school before, so I came here expecting it to be a challenge just like the name indicates. But I like challenges, and while it can be difficult at times, I am up for it.

There is a saying here that we have to give 100% and then some. I am learning this and seeing the changes in myself already. I have the potential!
