COLLEGE STATION – With three consecutive years of severe weather conditions throughout Texas, including extended hard freezes and droughts, East Texas trees have become vulnerable to secondary threats. Church Annual Camp Meeting The Rock Island Full Gospel Church will be holding its annual Camp Meeting beginning on Monday night, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. It will continue Tuesday through Saturday night, Feb. 10 with daily services at 10:00 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Visiting ministers and singers from numerous states will be there to minister, sing, and fellowship. LA GRANGE – Wednesday morning’s flooding on Jan. 24 did not deter the members of the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild from attending the “Improv” Workshop with Michelle Lavender. Michelle is from HollyDee Quilts in Luling, Tx. She showed the many ways to transform scraps into quilts, using a “Wonky” cut and an open mind.
