Gov. Abbott signs legislation empowering parents
AUSTIN – On June 12, Gov. Greg Abbott signed several critical pieces of parent empowerment legislation passed during the 88th Regular Legislative Session into law at the Texas Capitol. The transformative package of four parent empowerment bills signed by the Governor will give parents access to course curriculum, allow parents to determine if their child should repeat a grade level, remove inappropriate books from school libraries, and support students with special needs. 06/21/2023 12:00 AM

Back on Aug. 22, 1943, the Club celebrated its beginning with a banquet and the keynote speaker was the Honorable Texas Governor Coke Stevenson. The original charter was received by President J.V.
