He is survived by his wife, Rita of Georgetown; son, Craig of Mansfield; daughter, Dana of Houston, grandchildren, Sadie and JT; sister Donna Kent and her husband Alan of Sugar Land, and brother, Ken and his wife Janice of Garwood, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Otto and Sylvia Danklefs and Carson and Jewel Patterson.

A graveside service was held at Lehrer Memorial Cemetery, 7233 SH 71, Garwood, Texas 77442 on Saturday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m.

After the services, the family invited friends to Red Bluff Prairie Hunting Club, 414 Arthur St., Garwood, for food, fellowship, and remembering Jim.
