MARVIN ELO BECKER
He was born on Nov. 3, 1929 to Elo Becker and Emma (Bauer) Becker in Frelsburg, Texas. On July 8, 1956 he married Dorothy Ann Tonn.
Marvin was the owner of Frelsburg Garage where he worked as a mechanic for many years. He was a U.S. Marine and served in the States during the Korean War era.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Frelsburg.
Marvin always enjoyed visiting and talking with people.
Marvin is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Dorothy Becker; daughter Gail Dvorak and husband Victor; sons Randy Becker and Carolyn Porter, Darrell Becker and wife Brenda, and Warren Becker;
grandchildren Chris Parks and wife Shawn, Krista Goebel and husband Jordan, David Dvorak and wife Jessica, and Fr. James Dvorak; great-grandchildren Cody Parks and wife Cassidy, McKenzie Parks and friend Cole Surls, Avery Goebel, Harper Goebel, Allison Dvorak, and Olivia Dvorak; great great-grandchild Tucker Parks; brother-in-law Floyd Tonn and wife Brenda.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elo and Emma Becker; his brother Rueben Becker; father- in-law and mother-inlaw Alex and Emma Tonn.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Frelsburg, Texas with Pastor Ivy Schulz officiating. Visitation at church was from 1-2 p.m.
Burial took place at Becker Cemetery in Frelsburg, Texas.
Pallbearers were Monroe Wostarek, Chris Parks, Cody Parks, Jordan Goebel, David Dvorak and Fr. James Dvorak.
