He was born on January 24, 1954, to Clem B. McKennon and Jessie (Esarey) McKennon in Del Rio, Texas. On April 26, 2004, he married Norma Jean Lira.

Dean worked as a journeyman electrician for many years.

He was an IBEW member. Dean enjoyed surfing, going boat riding at the lake, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing and flying his RC Airplanes.

■ MCKENNON, 13 Oscar, J.T. Munoz and wife Michaela, and Jacob Munoz and wife Nina; sisters Donna Humke and husband Darrell and Jo Nell Cass and husband Tommy; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clem and Jessie McKennon, sister Carol Vickers, and brother David Clay McKennon.

A visitation was held on Friday, April 18, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus with a rosary that followed at 6:30 p.m. led by Sandra Frnka.

A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, April 19, at 10:00 a.m. at Henneke FuneralHome. Rev.Stan Warfield officiated.

The burial took place in Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake.

Pallbearers were J.T. Munoz, Jacob Munoz, Jeffrey Navarro, Charles Anzaldua, David Garza, and Justin Garza. Honorary pallbearers were Gabriel Corona, Josiah Munoz, and Micah Rodriguez.
