She and the family lived in Tívoli from 1955 to 1971, then in Altair from 1971 to 1978, then Eagle Lake. Jack died on Nov. 22, 2012. She was a housewife until all the children left the house, then became an elementary school teacher.

She was very involved in the church. She loved being around family and her happy place was the beach.

She had four children: Sandy (Kerry) Jarka (69), Steve (deceased), John (Lana) (63) and David (62). Eight grandchildren: Shane Jarka, Korey Jarka, Jamie Safier, Kelsey Cunningham,

■ GRAMMER, 13 Garrett Grammer, Cyra Torres, Tabitha Torres and Eric Grammer.

She had 16 great grandchildren. She had a sweet, kind spirit. The world is a better place for having had Dolores Grammer in it.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake.
