He was born in Wharton on February 17, 1940, to Steve Victor Kutach and Julia Vera (Gallia) Kutach. He married Delores Helen Brown on October 2, 1965.

He and his wife Delores owned and operated Kutach Pecans for 58 years. Steve was skilled in multiple trades, including welding, construction, farming and pecan grafting. He was also a member of the Pile Drivers and Pecan Growers Associations.

Steve enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming with his family, and had a deep passion for raising roosters.

Steve and Delores raised and cherished their five children, twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Steve was a devoted father and husband. He is survived by Delores, his wife of 59 years; their children Delila Owers, Victor Kutach, Sherry Cardwell, Steve Kutach III, and Ronnie Kutach.

He was preceded in death by grandsons Preston and Cody Kutach.

A private service will be held with his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Austin Heart Clinical Research Program, 900 West 38th St., Suite 400 in Austin.

Steve will forever be remembered by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
