KENNETH ARTHUR WHEELER

Reverend Kenneth Arthur Wheeler, 90, of County Road 201 in Weimar died on March 21 at the Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus. He was born June 1, 1934, in Altadena, California, the son of Lucy Wheeler and Edgar Wheeler.

He was an Air Force Veteran, a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, and served as the pastor of Riverside Baptist Church of Pishon’s Ferry in Clinton, Maine. He was a member of Glidden Baptist Church in Glidden.

He married Betty Seaholm on June 24, 1956, in Tijuana, Mexico, and again on June 29, 1956, in Sierra Madre, California. He worked for many years as a technician in the field of engineering geology and soil mechanics in the Southern California region.

The couple moved to Maine in November of 1980, and relocated again to Texas in December of 2000. In addition to church related activities, he enjoyed the company of a variety of dogs that he and his wife adopted over the years.

He is survived by one son, Paul Wheeler and his wife, Maria del Pilar of Weimar, one daughter, Deborra Penrod and husband, Max of Springfield, Missouri, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty, one son, David, and a daughter, Barbara.
