RONALD DEAN WARNER

Ronald Dean Warner of Columbus, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, at the age of 88. Ron lived a life full of love, laughter, and purpose. He touched the lives of everyone that he met.

Born on February 8, 1936, in Grandview, WA, he was the beloved husband of Carol Warner and cherished father of Martin Warner and Tyra Warner.

College and a master’s in social work from the University of Georgia, going on to have successful careers in health planning, resort management, and retirement community management.

He was known for his love of family as well as his involvement in church and community. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his growing After serving in the Navy, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Augsburg family. He is survived by his wife, Carol Warner, his children Martin Warner (Gayle) and Tyra Warner, his stepchildren Kevin Phillips (Marlene), Kirk Phillips (Renee), and Belinda Hastedt (Stuart), his grandchildren, Austin Warner, Preston Warner, Madison Warner, Warner Hilliard, Ali Duck, Halen Phillips, Jade Phillips, Jeremy Phillips, Tabby Phillips, Addy Jo Hastedt, Taylor Hastedt, Cullen Hastedt, four great-grandchildren, Peyton Warner, Julia Duck, Jameson Duck, and Kelsey Hastedt, and his three sisters, Beverly Riddle, Sandra Wallace, and Shirley Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Lester Warner and Elma Warner.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Columbus with Pastor Sunshine Reyes officiating with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First United Methodist Church, 1229 Milam St., Columbus, TX, 78934, which was near and dear to his heart.
