LINDA FAYE LIPPERDT BALLARD

Linda Faye Lipperdt Ballard, 82, of Columbus, Texas, passed away on December 15, 2024, in Columbus, Texas.

She was born on July 7, 1942, in Wharton, Texas to Herbert August Lipperdt and Mary Alice (Hutchins) Lipperdt.

Linda moved to Columbus at an early age and attended Columbus schools.

She retired from the insurance industry after 27 years of service and then started a monogramming business along with her best friend and sister-inlaw, Martha Ballard.

After that, she joined her husband for the next 12 years to manage Quantum Lakes, a private fishing club along with a Women’s Organization.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary Alice and Herbert August Lipperdt; and her brother Herbert Wayne Lipperdt.

Linda left behind her husband of 56 years, Victor Ballard, Jr.; son Michael Q. Miller and wife Julie; sisterin- law Sue Lipperdt; brothers- in-law Carlos Ballard and wife Martha, Don Ballard and wife Mary, Harold Ballard and wife Rita, and Ernest Ballard and wife Beverly; step-son Victor Ballard, III and wife Emily; grandchildren Michael Q. Miller, Jr. and wife Tiffany, Christina Morales and husband Herman, and Stevie Miller; along with 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

training camp for Living Water International, training volunteers in the skill of drilling water wells for third world countries.

Linda worked countless hours preparing and feeding the volunteers. She was awarded the first annual volunteer of the year for her service, which she was so proud of.

Linda was a member of Glidden Baptist Church and the Columbus Christian Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec.18, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Henneke Funeral Home with Clayton Wallin officiating. The visitation on Thursday will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

The burial will be in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus.

Pallbearers are Butch Besch, Mark Besch, Reed McMillian, Donnie Templeton, Michael Miller, Jr., and Tom Foster.

Memorials may be given to Glidden Baptist Church, 209 8th St., Glidden, TX 78943.
