MARTHA ANN RUTTA
She was born on May 9, 1925, to Alois Fojtik and Annie (Voitle) Fojtik in Weimar, Texas. On November 26, 1942, she married A.L. Fritz Rutta.
Martha worked as a beautician for over thirty years in Columbus. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Martha enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling, and working in her flower garden. She loved worshipping in church, participating in bible studies and making candy at Christmas.
She especially enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s sports and school activities. She attended church faithfully and prayed for her family. She was also a caregiver to lots of family members.
Martha is survived by her daughters Jane Frugé and husband Ernest of Fayetteville and Barbara Hromadka and husband Samuel of Highlands; son David Rutta of Columbus; grandchildren Vicki Newby (Eric), Eric Frugé (Jennifer), Alan Frugé, James Hromadka (Melissa), Tim Hromadka (Kelly), Jennifer Rodgers (Jacob), Jared Rutta, and Jordan Rutta; great grandchildren Zachary Rowlett (Lauren), Alexander Rowlett (Shauna), Teddy Rowlett (Emily), Andrew Rowlett, Emily Frugé, Ryan Frugé, Amber Frugé, E.J. Hromadka, Finn Hromadka, Eva Rodgers, Brady Rodgers, Ashley Rutta, and Kaitlyn Rutta; great-great grandchildren Hayes Rowlett, Collins Rowlett, Landry Rowlett, and Noa Grace Rowlett.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alois and Annie Fojtik; husband A.L. Fritz Rutta; brothers Jack Fojtik, Emil Fojtik, and Alois Fojtik; sisters Rosie Rutta and Frances Pokorny.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 a.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas.
Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus, Texas. Pastor Victor Morrison will be officiating.
The burial will take place in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus, Texas.
Pallbearers are family members.
