DAPHNE JANE BRADEN

Daphne Jane Braden was born June 25, 1965, in Aransas Pass, Texas, to Thomas and Hazel Evans. She attended Fairview High School in Fairview, Oklahoma and graduated in 1983.

She relocated to Texas and started her career at Lake McQueeney Estates where she remained working for the past 35 years. The Tschirharts were more than her bosses, they became family.

While at Lake McQueeney Estates, she established many friendships and loved putting on community activities for her Lake McQueeney family. Daphne’s love for Christ led her to start the Awana’s program at her church, which she ran for 10 years.

She had a passion for traveling to Rockport for many family trips; she enjoyed playing games, taking cruises, being outdoors and she really enjoyed her time away at Deer Camp with her husband Lynn. Daphne’s most important thing in her life was her family, and friends that became family.

The family would like to express much gratitude to Julie for the care of Daphne, as well as to Hope Hospice staff and the nursing staff of Resolute Hospital.

Daphne joined her father Thomas Evans and many beloved ones in heaven on October 20, 2024.

Daphne is survived by her husband Lynn Braden; her sons Vincent, Zachary, Douglas and David, daughters Shannon and Michelle, granddaughters Raelynn, Lynzie, Lauren, Allison, as well as her mother Hazel Evans, brother Troy Evans and nieces and an abundance of family.

Daphne will be loved and missed but never forgotten.

Services will be held at Grace Funeral Home at 214 N. Market, Goliad, TX on November 16, 2024. Viewing and visitation will be held at 1 p.m. and services at 2 p.m. Graveside services will be at Glendale Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the First Baptist Church of Goliad.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Hospice in New Braunfels, St. Jude’s or McQueeney Baptist Church.
