PAUL HENRY MINAR, SR.

Paul Henry Minar, Sr., 106, of Bernardo, Texas, passed away on August 22, 2024, in Columbus, Texas.

He was born on June 14, 1918, to Peter Paul Minar and Amelia (Henneke) Minar in Welcome, Texas. On December 25, 1942, he married Alice Mae Henneke.

Paul worked as a residential carpenter for many years. He spent time in the Army and was a World War 2 veteran.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Paul enjoyed fishing but his true love was dancing. He would go dancing with his friends every chance he got and would dance to every song.

Paul is survived by his daughter Judith A. Wendt and husband Randy; sons Paul H. Minar, Jr. and wife JoAnna and Billy R. Minar and wife Lenice; grandchildren Jason Minar and wife Tonya, Scott Minar and wife Brianne, Stephanie Minar, Janeen Castillo and husband Alfonso, Ellen Lokken and husband Karl, and Kayla Conrad and husband Peter; step-grandchild Lance Dobbins and wife Devra; great-grandchildren Felix Lokken, Jasper Lokken, Abigail Conrad, Rebecca Conrad, Samuel Conrad, Caden Castillo, Nolan Castillo, and Bryson Minar; step great-grandchildren Hunter Dobbins and wife Lexi and Brody Dobbins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Amelia Minar; wife Alice Minar; sister Celestina Kaiser; brothers-inlaw Henry Kaiser and Roy Henneke.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus, Texas. Pastor Alan Kethan will be officiating. Visitation at church will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m..

The burial will take place in Sealy City Cemetery in Sealy, Texas.

Pallbearers are Jason Minar, Scott Minar, Alfonso Castillo, Caden Castillo, Karl Lokken, and Peter Conrad.
