BESSIE M. (PONCIK) HOFFMANN
Bessie will be missed by her family. She is survived by her daughter, Delores Mutschler, and son-in-law, Marlin; daughter, Diane Castillo, and son-in-law, Francisco; her son, Edward Boettcher, and daughter-in-law, Suzy; her son, Leonard Boettcher, and daughter-in-law, Sara; her daughter, Dorothy Amundsen, and son-in-law, Scott; and her daughter, Mary Cameron, and significant other, Jeff Cilman. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her joy; Bessie’s sister, Rosie Hrbacek; Bessie’s dog, Pouchie; along with other loving family members, including her neighbors and dear friends that she also considered as family.
Bessie’s was proceeded in death by Herman Boettcher, father to her children; her second husband, Bennie Trlicek; beloved husband, Rudolph Hoffmann; parents: Frank Poncik and Bertha Reuther; sister, Dorothy and brother- in-law, Raymond Selzer, brothers: Eddie and Laddie Poncik; and brother- in- law, Amos Hrbacek.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with family present to receive friends. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of La Grange on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the La Grange City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Daughters of Americas Court Annunciation # 1962-Bessie Hoffmann Memorial Scholarship; Sacred Heart Catholic Church Altar Society, Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter, or to the VFW Post #5254 of La Grange.
