PAULINE OTTILIA LUCKO JONES

Pauline Ottilia Lucko Jones, 85, of Weimar, Texas, passed away peacefully on Feb. 16, 2023, at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Home.

She was born on July 30, 1937 to Walter and Erna Lucko. She was the fourth of six children. Pauline grew up on the family farm in Borden, where she learned to garden, fish and homemaking, developing her nurturing spirit.

On Feb. 26, 1958, Pauline married Anton John Pesak of Needville. They were blessed with three boys, Anton Kenneth, Robert Wayne and Douglas Quinn.

In Apri l 1963, Paul ine married Sherrod “Shakey” Jones. They were blessed with one daughter, Deborah Lynn.

Paul ine was a hard worker and loved helping and serving others. She worked as a waitress at the Holiday Inn in Columbus for many years and then at Mr. B’s Drive-In in Columbus. She served terms on Faith Lutheran Church Council and was Secretary/Treasurer of Miller Creek Cemetery for many years.

Her favorite pasttimes were dancing with Shakey while out with friends, gardening, fishing, baking, cooking delicious meals for her family, enjoying visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and playing dominoes at family gatherings.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers – Ernest, Leonard and Owen Lucko; two sisters – Gladys Pesak and Augusta Ann Lucko; her husband Shakey Jones, and Son Anton Kenneth Pesak.

She is survived by sons Robert Pesak and wife Cindy and Douglas Pesak and wife Sandy, both of Weimar; daughter Debbie Herzik and husband Marshall of Schulenburg; 13 grandchildren, Eric

JONES, 15 Pesak, Carrie Rer ich, Shannon Seifert, Kristy Janecka, Brandon Pesak, Aaron Pesak, Bobby Pesak, Amanda Klein, Clayton Herzik, Shane Pesak, Crystal Pesak, Daniel Pesak, and Hailey Herzik; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service for Pauline Jones was held Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Weimar, Texas with Rev. Herb Beyer officiating.

Burial of Ashes will be in Miller Creek Cemetery in the Oak Grove Community, Texas.
