He was born on October 25, 1943, to Ed and Ruby (Lawson) Wine in Gainsville, Texas. He married Patricia Gundelach on April 20, 1974.

Tom spent several years in law enforcement, where he was promoted to Police Chief. After leaving law enforcement, he opened his own a/c & heating company.

He enlisted in the navy and then the army where he served in Vietnam. Tom enjoyed riding horses, barbecuing, and reading.

Tom is survived by his wife Paticia Wine; sister Barbara Dearinger; brother Mike Wine and wife Darla; sister-in-law Virginia Cowart and husband Mark; brothers-inlaw Gordy Gundelach and wife Charlette and Brian Gundelach; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Linda Walker and Sherry Nutter; brother Sonny Wine; brothers-inlaw Doyle Walker, Milan Nutter, Richard Dearinger, Edwin Gundelach, Jr.; sister-in-law Betty Gundelach; father and mother- in-law Edwin and Mary Gundelach.
