Helen worked as an accounts receivable supervisor for Fort Bend Water District for many years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stafford. Helen’s family was her life. She dearly loved her family and spending time with them. Helen enjoyed cooking and serving her God by helping others in any way she could.

Helen is survived by her daughter Tammie Dirba and husband Henry, Jr. of Sealy; sisters Dorthy Scheffler and husband Al Joe of Houston, Bernice Peikert and husband Marvin of Sealy, and Erna Mae Schriefer of Katy; brother Johnny Class and wife Janis of Sealy; grandchildren Kaley Dirba, Kacey Dirba, and Kody Dirba. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ben Cervenka; parents Otto J. and Lena Class; brother Lee Neimeyer; sisters Wilma Lamberth, Virginia Chollett, and Gussie Mazoch.

A visitation was held on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas. A parish prayer service and rosary followed at 7:00 PM. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz, Texas. Fr. Nelson Gonzalez officiated.

Visitation at church was from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Burial took place in St. Roch Catholic Cemetery in Mentz, Texas. The pallbearers were Stephen Peikert, Glenn Peikert, Randy Schriefer, Robert Schriefer, Aaron Cheffler, and Dee Lamberth. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
