CLARENCE IGNATIUS ZBRANEK
Clarence attended school in Nada and served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He worked as an Owner/Operator of the family gravel and trucking business, Zbranek Bros., and was also a farmer and rancher. He enjoyed hunting, playing dominoes, and spending time with his grandchildren. Clarence was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3371.
Clarence is survived by his son, Alan Zbranek and wife Kelly of Wharton, daughter Janet Freeman and husband Scott of League City; grandchildren Sheldon Stevens and husband Schuyler, Collin Freeman, and Erin Zbranek; and sister, Lucie Kubecka.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Socha Zbranek; brothers, William Zbranek, Ludwig Zbranek, and Edmund Zbranek; sisters, Nollie Kubecka and Mary Ann Schoellmann.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nada, with a rosary following at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
