JERRY LEE WOODWARD
He was born on April 28, 1939 to Ithel Burdette Woodward and Leata Lucille (Cattell) Woodward in Findlay, Ohio. He graduated in 1957 from Arcadia High School where he played football and participated in the FFA. On June 18, 1990 he married Linda Marie (Russell) Woodward.
Jerry spent decades serving in the meat industry in both Ohio and Texas with leadership roles in sales and management. He enjoyed helping others and making sure he went above and beyond for his colleagues and suppl iers. Jerry also served in the Nat ional Guard from 1956 to 1962.
Jerry loved spending time outdoors farming, hunting, and fishing. He was passionate about grilling something for others and made sure everyone enjoyed lots of amazing food anytime he served as the chef. He was always looking to make others feel included and make them smile with his wit and kindness. Jerry loved being called Pop and his time spent with his grandkids brought him immense joy.
Jerry is survived by his loving and dedicated wi fe Linda Woodward; daughters Bonnie Kingsbery and husband Grant of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Dawn Turner and husband Jackie of Mart in, Tennessee; brother James Woodward and wife Karis of Findlay, Ohio; grandchildren Madison, Clay, and Ruth Kingsbery; sisterin- law Judy (Les) Schaefer, brother-in-law Grady (June) Russell.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ithel and Leata Woodward and his brother Joe Woodward.
Memorial Service was held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas. Gary Brown officiated. Visitation was held on Monday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
