He was born on Dec. 31, 1943 to William Turner Richardson and Eleanor Thrower Richardson in Alvin, Texas before moving to Colorado County as a young child.

Robert worked as a quarter horse jockey in his youth and as a rancher for most of his life. He enjoyed flying planes, hunting, fishing, and having a good time with good friends.

Robert was a loving father and grandfather and is survived by his daughter Jennifer Richardson Kobernik and her husband Josiah, as well as his granddaughter Joanna Rebecca Kobernik.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Eleanor Richardson and his brother Charles Turner Richardson.
