The Columbus football and volleyball teams have released their schedules for the 2023 Fall season.
The Lady Cards volleyball team gets their regular season started on Aug. 8 against El Campo and play through a tough tournament schedule including trips Pflugerville and Rosenberg following their own home tournament starting on Aug. 10. The Lady Cards’ district season begins with a match against cross-county rivals, the Rice Lady Raiders, at home. The football team starts the season in a familiar fashion to last season with games against Giddings and La Grange on Aug. 25 and Sept. 1 respectively for their first two games away from home. They return home for senior night against the Rice Raiders on Sept. 7 before taking another trip on Sept. 15 to North Forest. The Cards go on to play three-straight home games as they host Hargrave for homecoming on Sept. 22, Madisonville on Sept. 29 and Hallettsville on Oct. 6. They hit the road again on Oct. 13 to face off against Hitchcock before playing their final home game of the season against Yoakum on Oct. 20. They finish the regular season off on Nov. 3 against Hempstead.
