COLUMBUS — Students from Columbus ISD, who submitted art to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, currently have their artwork on display at the Live Oak Art Center, 1014 Milam St., until Feb. 1.
The public is welcome to see the exhibit featuring art from finalists and participants during regular business hours. The reception and awards ceremony will be on Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. “Please come out to help celebrate and enjoy the hard work and talent of these student artists,” the organization announced in a prepared release.
The winners selected from when the artwork was judged in Houston on Jan. 9, will have their artwork displayed during the livestock show and rodeo.
The livestock show and rodeo benefits area youths through scholarships. It is Feb. 28-March 19 at NRG Stadium in Houston.
