LA GRANGE – Fayette Community Foundation welcomes Jamie Lee Manning as Public Initiatives Program Director to their team.

The foundation said Manning is a resident of Fayette County and brings with her over 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, community planning, and social change organizations.

Manning received her degree in community planning and nonprofit management from the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she honed her leadership skills and innovative problem-solving abilities, according to a release. She has spent the majority of her career working with national education nonprofits, focusing on hands-on project-based learning to keep underserved students on track and prepared for high school and beyond.

In 2017, Manning took a hiatus from her professional career to care for her mother who was diagnosed with a progressive brain disease, according to a release. Manning said this experience further fueled her passion for nonprofit work and her dedication to creating a fair and just society for all.

Manning will be responsible for supporting FCF’s public initiative work at the local community level throughout the foundation’s rural service area. She will be the foundation’s point of contact for external public initiatives, creating collaborations, connecting organizations to funding opportunities, building capacity in organizational leadership, and supporting program innovations in public health equity.

When asked about her new role, Manning said, “I look forward to working with communities to provide resources and tools to ensure everyone has a fair and just opportunity to attain their highest level of health.”

In addition to her work at FCF, Manning is also a Texas Master Naturalist and is dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas for the State of Texas. She is a connected Fayette County community volunteer, serving with four local nonprofit organizations, according to a release. In her free time, Manning enjoys exploring nature, music, photography, and the healing arts. The foundation said Manning has a goal to visit all the National Parks, with 23 more to go.

The Fayette Community Foundation said it is thrilled to have Manning on board and looks forward to the positive impact she will have on the community.
